Presentation at IBM EAGLE Group

During an interactive presentation, SPECTRA researchers summarized the most important issues related to hate crimes, with a special focus on the Hungarian sui generis the Crime provision 'Violence against a member of a community”'. They tried to answer questions such as what to do if we or a close relative / friend is exposed to such a crime, what rights we have as victims, what recent gay and transphobic attacks we know about in Hungary, and what the outcome of the procedures has been. They also gave an insight on the different procedural options and provided the audience with practical information, e.g. where to turn for help or what to take into consideration during communication with the police.
